Fitness for the Water Lifestyle

Scouts

Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Adventure Scouts

When visiting Savannah and Tybee Island this is going to be one of the best outdoor activities you choose. Sea Kayak Georgia has planned many adventures over the years with Girl Scout Troops who have had different interests yet share in common love of the water, adventurous spirit and interest in the beautiful coast of Georgia.  We can assist with requirements for earning the coastal Georgia patch, boating and outdoor badge requirements.

Join us at our full service outfitting shop for the orientation that begins your adventure.  Our shop has apparel perfect for kayaking, the beach and having fun around the island. Our facility has restrooms for before you get on the water and after the tour you can rinse your feet or take a shower before heading out for more island fun.

Half Day Tours by Kayak
We love to paddle to Little Tybee Island and explore the marsh or go out to the point at low tide. Our guides are equally as comfortable sharing knowledge about the sport of kayaking and the natural environment. Sea Kayaking allows us to become part of the environment that makes up the requirements of the Coastal Georgia Patch. If your troop is trying to earn this patch we are happy to assist you with the requirements, please request this at the time you make your reservation. Paddling builds skills that will last a lifetime, we learn about the natural environment, paddle strokes, team work and how to have an adventure on an undeveloped barrier island.

Stand Up Paddleboarding Tours
Join in the latest fun thing to do on the water, Stand Up Paddleboarding. We can accommodate six participants per session in this fun program to get out on the water. We like to start early take advantage of the calm morning. Programs are three hours and include intro to stand up paddling and some fun fitness moves and exploration.

Full Day Tours
Sea Kayak Georgia is happy to offer full day tours for scouts who have intermediate kayaking skills or are avid outdoors scouts and want something longer than the half day tour. We are happy to provide picnic lunches and a more extensive exploration of the area. We can more deeply explore the coastal georgia patch and or the sport of kayaking.

Overnight Trips
Go out all day and night to meet the troop’s adventure requirements, how about a night under the stars? Nothing is more beautiful than camping on the beach for one or two nights and testing your outdoors skills on the coast of Georgia. We can spend more time paddling, hiking and becoming part of the whole tidal cycle. We can take time for birding, oceanography, evening beach walks and storytelling.
