School Groups

We offer eco tours for school groups visiting coastal Georgia. Our classroom is the beach, the marsh and education about the estuary as one of the most special and unique intact habitats on the planet. Our close proximity to Savannah and location on Tybee Island offers varied on water programs to suite the needs of school groups interested in half day or full day programs. Overnight camping programs are also offered for groups who wish to immerse themselves in kayaking and outdoor educational opportunity.

Half Day Tours meet at Sea Kayak Georgia or local area launch site. We provide an orientation to familiarize participants with the gear, paddles and boats. Our excursions last three hours and include natural history program with a beach walk, kayaking orientation and on water fun and games.

Full Day Tours meet at Sea Kayak Georgia or local area launch site. We provide an orientation to familiarize participants with the gear, paddles and boats. The full day program allows for more instruction on kayaking and more exploring the pristine coastal Georgia environment. We incorporate games, orienteering, scavenger hunts and can even provide picnics upon request.

Overnight Adventures can be in lodges, campsites, or primitive wilderness adventure camping. We can support the needs of any educational endeavors of visiting groups. We explore coastal Georgia habitats, can visit places of cultural interest and immerse ourselves in outdoor activities that acquaint participants with the movements of nature controlled by lunar and tidal cycles. Many of our overnight visitors prefer a combination of natural history lessons combined with kayak instruction and group activities.
