and after the tour you can rinse your feet or take a shower before
heading out for more island fun.
We offer parking and almost always provide transportation
to and from the launch site.
Our shop has apparel perfect for kayaking, the beach and having fun around
the island. Take a memento of the paddling trip home with you.
What to Bring
Clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting wet,
sunscreen, hat, drinking water, and a snack
Where we paddle
Come spend a morning or afternoon with us in the wilds
of Georgia's barrier island coastline. Our primary paddling destination, Little Tybee Island, is an undeveloped
State Heritage Site that provides a unique opportunity for great paddling
at every level in a safe and challenging environment. We have access to
beautiful flatwater routes in our protected estuary zone. With its
warm water, its varied terrain, and its lonely beauty, this area gives
us the perfect combination for paddling and hiking.
Custom
Day Trips
Sea Kayak Georgia will be happy to plan a custom day trip for your
school group, conference or outing club. Tell us your group size
and dates, and we'll help you choose the perfect trip for your needs. Prices vary with location and group
size. Girl Scouts we offer
special programming, including programming for you to earn the Coastal
Georgia Patch.
Lazaretto
Creek is a custom day trip that we offer when the tides are right. We like to ride out to the Cockspur Lighthouse at low tide and ride the tide back after we're finished exploring. Call us to see if the tides match up with your visit. We will paddle past the Lazaretto Creek marina, where shrimp boats and ocean treasure
seekers alike are often moored, to the Cockspur Lighthouse on the
south channel of the Savannah River. Great vantage point for watching cargo
ships bound for Savannah, but also a place with an amazing amount of wildlife.
