Designed
for the intermediate to advanced paddler, the NDK Triton II is ideal
for weekend or week
long expeditions. Fast and maneuverable, this double incoporates many
of the features of the Explorer. The Triton II can be fitted either
with a retractable skeg, or VCP C-Trim rudder. The Triton II is built
with four fiberglass bulkheads, two NDK 10" hatches ( front and
rear) and an extra VCP 7.5" day hatch situated behind the stern
paddler. The Triton II's rear bulkhead has a molded-in recess for the
NDK kayak trolley, which allows easy transportation.
The Triton II has 29 recessed
deck fittings, perimeter deck lines, deck elastics and compass recesses
that will accommodate a Nexus 70P compass in the bow and
a Nexus 70 UNE (lighted) compass in the rear. A recess for a small bag or for
two parachute flares is featured on the deck behind the front cockpit. The
kayak can be Eskimo rolled very easily and the cockpit area drains
completely when
the bow of the kayak is lifted. The Triton II is a high performance, sporty
sea kayak for paddlers who want a fast, seaworthy tandem boat.
