Touring Essentials

Touring Essentials offers students who have taken ACA Level 2 and Level 3 classes and BCU 2 Star and 3 Star classes to go on a full day journey and apply their knowledge.

These full day adventures are planned around a specific time during the tidal cycle to put into practice the skills that you have learned. You will have a chance to practice your navigational skills by looking at charts and tide tables to help the group plan a day paddle. Trips will vary according to tides and paddling conditions. We will meet early to take advantage of the day and the distance.

If you have a group of four or more we can customize this trip. We can customize the trip for students to practice their ACA Level 4 and BCU 4 Star skills.

Our day trips give you a satisfying taste of Georgia's coastal wilderness, meandering through the tidal marshes and exploring beaches accessible only by kayak. With guides well versed in the local and natural history of the area, you will come away with fascinating insight into the wilds of the Georgia coast.
