Connect edging to the broader picture of excellent boat control.
Combination and Coordination
Session "The Dance on Water"
Two left feet? Doesn't matter! Sitting in the kayak, your paddle and water lead you through a dance you never thought was possible. From the simple 'one step' to the complicated tango, dancers are all about the relationship of rhythm and fluid body movement. No sense of rhythm? Doesn't matter. The natural rhthym of the water is the kayaker's advantage. Combine this with a few skills and in a flash dance you just might find that your kayak is your best dance partner!
The Dance on Water Session will challenge
the skill you have by assisting you with blending and connecting one stroke
to another. This is a good one for people that already have the basics
of paddling.
Combination Skills to be developed during your dancing on the water: cadence, balance, precision, flexibility, upper/lower body separation, paddle dexterity, intuitive movement, paddle angle and depth.
This session is great fun, give your brain a workout learning subtleties
of changing blade angle skills and perhaps practice a rescue or two as
you try new combinations.
